With “Honey" , the multicultural Swiss trio JAS CRW, releases their second afro/dancehall infused single following Type Of Way feat. Dotman earlier this year. Produced by Meek, JAS CRW worked with the exact same team to deliver another piece which is bound to heat up the dance floors this winter.
The track showcases a glistening feature vocal from Naomi Cowan, recorded at her home studio in Kingston. As the daughter of Tommy Cowan, OD (reggae music producer, songwriter & former road manager for Bob Marley) & Carlene Davis-Cowan, OD (international reggae vocalist). She has been touted as one of the Caribbean’s top rising female artists. Cowan was recognized as the Breakthrough Reggae Artist of 2018 at the 2019 Jamaica Reggae Industry Awards. Her signature hit “Paradise Plum” produced by Teflon Zincfence, rocketed Naomi to reggae music fans across the world and propelled her to several international platforms in music and media. She aims to refresh and empower listeners with her music.
The riddim hit from the first notes, sounding sweet, just like honey, the song has found its title before it got written. The melody evoked a “Love at first sight” feeling and we hope our song will remind our audience of those special moments of live and perhaps make some fall in love again.
